Tsering Dhondup (Rooney)

Tashi Delek! My name is Tse Dhondup and people call me Rooney. I am 35 years old. I was born in Lhasa, the capital of Tibet. I loved to participate in different extra-curricular activities in the school.

I shouldered responsibility as a school prefect for several years and won the School Environment Club Membership certificate. Later I did Bachelor of Arts (BA) and took some basic computer courses too.
I am interested in Tibetan culture and history. I am a local tour guide. It is my passion to introduce Tibetan culture and history to our lovely Tibet travelers. It’s been 12 years guiding tours around Tibet from city tours to trekking adventures.

It is my pleasure to share our culture, history, tradition and religion which I learned and experienced from our ancestors. This is one of the main reasons why I love my work. My knowledge and experiences enable me to offer authentic Tibetan experiences to our esteemed customers. It is my pleasure to share our culture and tradition with all friends coming from different parts of the world.
