Pleasantly Surprised!
Reviewed December 1, 2009Stayed May 2009, traveled with family
Room was very spacious for my daughter and I. Bathroom was roomy, but water pressure was a problem...I only had luke warm water for shower...but this is Lhasa, 12,000 above sea level! Internet wasn't free, and connection was very slow. Breakfast was surprising fulfilling. . This hotel was within walking distance to Bokor Street and in the Tibetan shopping area. The entrance that leads to the hotel looks shabbly. But overall, a pleasant experience.

Great Location

I had a four night stay recently. Hotel is in a great location but on a busy street. My first room was simple and faced the courtyard so was quiet but smelled of raw sewage. I asked for another room and the front desk finally gave me a clean room with king bed facing the street. It was very noisy, even sleeping with ear plugs. Some of my travel mates lucked into nice dry quiet rooms. Seems hotel is hit and miss depending on room you are given. Hot water and water pressure were an issue. Took over fifteen minutes to get a trickle of hot water. Could never get my hair rinsed adequately. Breakfast was tasty and in a warm room. Would likely not stay here again.

As advertised

I have recently visited this hotel, as part of a package tour. It was more or less as expected (per their web site), a tourist class hotel, with a friendly, helpful staff. The only complaint, by members of my group, the buffet breakfast tended to run short on some of their favorites, when large tour groups, had arrived at the hotel.
The hotel is not situated on the best street, but is centrally, located (easy walking distance to shops/restaurants). I had not dined at the hotel's restaurant, but have been advised against, by those who have.
