Terms and condition;
Please carefully read the below Terms & Conditions and the Applicable information before you (the Customer) make reservation or purchase tours and tour-related products from Tibet Group Tour and make sure you have fully understood your right & duty and Tibet Group Tour’s right & duty. By becoming a customer of Tibet Group Tour, you agree that you have read, understood, and agreed with the following "Terms and Conditions", and irrevocable consent to be bound by all said "Terms and Conditions".
 
We will also state the terms and condition in the tour contract/agreement that you will receive when you confirm the tour with us, and you will be requested to send us a copy of the contract with your signature to protect your rights by laws and legitimacy. If you have any questions or confusion about it, then please ask your travel consultant before signing the contract.
This Terms & condition come into effect when your tour is confirmed with us from the minute we receive your signed tour contract and deposit payment.
 
Your eligibility and responsibility
To book a tour with Tibet Group Tour, you must know that we never arrange private tours for those who are below 18 years of age. If you are under 18, they may book our tour only with involvement of a parent or legal guardian or other travel partners who are above 18. Travelers who are less than 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult throughout the trip. Before booking the tour with Tibet Group Tour, it is your responsibility to read and understood the all the terms and conditions clearly.
 
Reservation process
Once we mutually finalize the tour itinerary and cost, we will send you the tour contract with thorough information of the trip including itinerary, cost, service voucher, tour deposit amount, terms and condition etc. Your reservation is not considered as fully confirmed until the tour deposit is received by Tibet Group Tour. At the receipt of deposit, you will receive a confirmation email with deposit invoice and we will start to arrange tours accordingly. So we always suggest our esteemed clients to book the tour as early as they can and it to give us sufficient time to prepare and arrange everything in advance. Alteration
once we receive your tour deposit (down payment) followed by singing the contract, your reservation is secured with legitimacy. We do provide unlimited alteration to meet your ultimate satisfaction as we are motivated to bring all your interest as much as possible, but the first two modifications will be free of charge and from the third time we will charge service fee $20 for every new modification, the extra charge or loss incurred due to such changes will be borne by you. Late alteration might not be workable due to various cancellation policies of service providing individuals or organizations that we work with. Anyhow, we are confident that our professional consultation and experienced arrangement help you to design a satisfying tour right from the beginning without need of any alteration.
If you would like to add additional travelers in your group after it is confirmed, we will only charge the cost difference for the additional travelers.
 
Cancellation and Refund policy;
If you have to cancel the tour after it confirmed, your cancellation request should be in written and you are liable to pay cancellation charges that bound by Tibet Group Tour’s cancellation policy as follows:
Cancelation Timeline Cancelation fees charge per person
30 days or more before the trip start USD100 per person or equivalent in RMB
30-15 days prior to the tour start date 20% of the total land cost of the tour
15 – 7 days prior to the tour start date 30% of the total land cost of the tour
Within 7 days 50% of the total land cost of the tour
No show up or at the time of trip start or later 100% of the total land cost of the tour

Note: Tibet Group Tour never to make profit by charging the cancelation fees, we spend the charged cancelation fees to compensate losses of our staffs (guide, driver and hotel cancelation) as a result of the tour cancelation.
If you book flight or train tickets with us, then we will follow the cancelation policy of the relevant Airline company or Railway company, so please check it with your tour consultant at the time when you cancel your tour.
Due to uncertainty of political, climatic and geographical situation of Tibet, tour cancellations might be resulted that is out of Tibet Group Tour's control, under such circumstance, we come up with two applicable choices for our customers as below;
 
1.      If they agree to cancel the tour, then NO CANCELLATION FEES charge for the time and services of prearrangement during the planning session, but travelers should pay the cancellation fees caused by canceling the flight and train if you book with us, and the refund service fee charge from the bank will be deducted too.
2.      If they still want to continue a similar tour, then we will design a similar tour that meet your interest in other opened area, like Tibetan areas which is currently under Qinghai and Sichuan province has slightly different political and climatic situation, but they are equally interested with rich Tibetan culture and amazing natural beauties, so we can design a similar tours in those areas, but you are responsible to pay cost differences.
 
Once the cancellation is confirmed from both sides, we will need your bank account information and Tibet Group Tour will refund the remaining amount to you within 10 - 15 working days, please be informed that bank transfer cost will be counted on your side.
The cancellation fee charged by Tibet Group Tour will keep under your name (person who contact with us) for a usable period of 2 years, within the applicable period you can use it for next time or you can kindly pass your authority to anyone of your family, friend, colleague or chat pal to use by booking a tour with Tibet Group Tour, then a certifying emails from you is necessary to pass it to others, but it is only applicable for Private Group not for join in tour.
 
Force majeure circumstances and liabilities
Tibet is politically very sensitive and Tibet Group Tour never interfere or participate any politic issues at all, so all our customers should know the circumstances and never participate or interfere political issues during your trip in Tibet, if someone does, he/she is responsible to undertake any consequences adjudicate from law of People Republic of China. We are strongly advising our customers to avoid political matters. Your involvement in such things may spoil future of your guide, driver and agency in the terms of poor management.
 
If a change to the confirmed itinerary or service standard is caused by unforeseen forces, such as weather conditions, political upheavals, etc., neither party shall be held responsible, and any extra cost thus caused shall be covered by customers themselves.
If a change to the confirmed itinerary or service standard is caused by cancellation or delay of flights and trains, or other factors that are beyond our (Tibet Group Tour) control, then we are not responsible for the losses or extra cost incurred.
If a tourist has to leave his tour group because of accident, injury, or serious illness, we will refund 50% of the unused tour cost. If any of a group member decides to leave the group or the whole group has to leave Tibet because of his/their own reason, then no refund will be made from Tibet Group Tour, since Tibet Group Tour has the responsibility to compensate the losses caused to our guides, driver and cancellation of other services like hotels etc.
 
Tibet is still under developed, so many places has very poor lodging condition, sanitation and limited medication facility despite of our best effort to provide the best available on the basis of your cost, so once you choose to travel Tibet you should have understood the region where you will travel and you have the responsibility to prepare both mentally and physically to overcome any influences lead by such circumstance.
 
Decades ago, theft is very rare in Tibet because strong influences of Buddhism practice, but in the modernizing period it is increasing in the cities rapidly, so you should properly manage your belongings and documents, Tibet Group Tour is not responsible for stolen and lose of your valuable items due to your own negligence.
 
For Disabilities
Our service embraces all people, regardless of colors, physical conditions and belief. Our ultimate goal is to provide a beautiful experience and expand travel opportunities for people with special needs in the high Tibet plateau. Because of the peculiar environment of Tibet, traveling in Tibet is not suitable for some people despite of our sincere care and effort. You are responsible to verify with us before you book a tour with us to ensure that special arrangement can be made if it is required for your needs. Tibet Group Tour is not liable for any incidences or consequences incurred during the tour or lawsuits or complaints after travel due to your failure to inform us of your special needs. You also have the responsibility to re-confirm with us after we reserve seats for you, that special accommodation will be provided per your request.
 
Insurance & Documentation
The liability insurance that we buy for our customers is very basic and it covers only limited field with restricted regulations, so Tibet Group Tour strongly recommends customers to acquire international standard travel insurance coverage before departing from your home country, which may cover trip cancellation, trip interruption, emergency medical evacuation and medical expenses, baggage lost etc. In case of medical emergency in remote places of Tibet, you will most likely be taken to the nearest medical facilities or airport by a car (or local way of transportation), where you can catch the next flight to a better facilitated hospital in Mainland China. If your travel insurance company is not able to send you a rescue helicopter, you need to make sure that you can at least receive reimbursement for all your expenses, Tibet Group Tour will help with all necessary documents for your claim.

Complaints
If you have any problem or dissatisfactions during your tour, you are requested to immediately inform your tour consultant and through our adjustment the escort/representative/guide will endeavor to put things right. If you have complaint end of the tour, please follow this up within 15 days of completion of services by writing us, please provide us your booking reference number and all other relevant information to properly investigate a complaint quickly. If your complaint is received long after your trip, then it may be failed investigate properly. Any compensation may be reduced or even forfeited if you do not follow the complaints procedure set out in this clause.
